Went down to their Nex outlet to take a look at their watch boxes. Preferred the black oak box over the cherry wood coloured one, with black pu leather pillows. But they only had the 5-slot box.

Online ordering was hassle-free (completed in a matter of minutes) and delivery was fast. Box is of a good weight and the underside of the box is covered with felt material to protect my drawer from scratches.

Bought a five-watch box in so-called black oak. For S$95.00, it's ostensibly cheaper than most containers made of the same material out there. The pillows, covered in synthetic leather, could use a softer foam, which brings me to the bigger gripe. The elongated shape does not allow for watches in bracelets to be fastened, in the case of owners with smaller wrists. This essentially means the watch can must be wrapped along the pillow with the bracelet undone. Not an issue that I cannot live with, admittedly.

The hinges on the box, I hope, are made of a metal that is rust free. There is no mention of this in the description, and makes it a cause for concern.

Likes: Looks, construction and free delivery.

Dislikes: Material of the foam, questionable metal hinges.

Overall: A container worth considering for the money.
