Strap Measurement Guide

There are two ways to find out the lug width of your watch.

  1. Firstly, you can Google "<watch brand and model> lug width" and see if there is an answer from the brand's website, or some other websites.
  2. Alternatively, you can simply take a ruler and measure the lug width directly on your watch.

Lug widths are typically in whole numbers, and while the most common lug widths are between 18-22mm, they can go down to 8mm or up to 32mm even. Our ready stock straps are available in 12mm,14mm,16mm, 18mm, 19mm, 20mm, 21mm, 22mm, 24mm and 26mm. If you need other lug widths, you can have it custom made.

You will then need to purchase a strap with the same lug width. For example, if your watch has a lug width of 20mm, you will need a 20mm strap to fit your watch.

FAQ

What is the size of of my Santos Dumont watch?

There are 2 ways to find the case size of your Cartier Santos-Dumont watch:

1. Use a digital caliper or ruler to measure across the case (excluding the crown):
- 27.5 mm wide – Small model
- 31.4 mm wide – Large model
- 33.9 mm wide – Extra-Large model

2. Check the model number:
The model reference number is engraved on the case back. Your warranty card, certificate, or purchase receipt will also list the model reference and case size.

Examples of model references:
Small: WSSA0022, WSSA0032
Large: WSSA0023, WSSA0029
Extra-Large: W2SA0012, WSSA0034
How to change the Cartier Santos Dumont watch strap?

As the Cartier Santos-Dumont uses a quick-release spring bar mechanism, no tools are required when swapping straps. To remove the strap, simply slide the small lever on the back of the strap inward and gently pull the strap away from the case.

After installing the new strap, give it a light tug in different directions to ensure it is securely attached to the watch case.
What if I realised I got the wrong size after ordering?

If you receive your strap and find that the size is incorrect, don't worry! You can exchange them for the correct size as long as they are in brand new unworn condition. (Shipping fees applies)
Is this item in stock?

This is a made-to-order (MTO) product. Once we receive your order, we will begin the production process. Please allow approximately 2 weeks for your strap to be completed. We appreciate your patience as we craft your product to your specifications.
What is the 30 Days Guarantee about?

Our watch straps are crafted using only the finest premium-quality materials. We take great pride in the craftsmanship and durability of our products, and we stand firmly behind their quality. If you experience any issues with your strap due to a manufacturing defect within 30 days of purchase, we will replace it at no additional cost to you.

Please note that this warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, or damage resulting from accidents, misuse, or neglect.
