There are 2 ways to find out if your Cartier Tank is a Must or a Solo model:

1. Check the case design and dial details
Tank Must: Usually features minimalist dials without a date window, a Cartier logo, and classic Roman numerals. Most Tank Must watches have a solid caseback and no visible screws on the bezel.
Tank Solo: Often has a date window (in Large and Extra-Large sizes), blued-steel hands, and a slightly thicker case profile. The Tank Solo frequently includes a brushed case side and polished bezel contrast.

2. Check the model number
The model reference number is engraved on the case back.
Your warranty card, certificate, or purchase receipt will also list the model reference, which you can look up to confirm whether it is a Must or a Solo.

There are 2 ways to find the case size of your Cartier Tank watch:

1. Use a digital caliper or ruler to measure the lug width (the distance between the inside of the lugs where the strap fits):

Cartier Tank Must:
16 mm lug width – Small model
19 mm lug width – Large model
23 mm lug width – Extra-Large model

Cartier Tank Solo:
17 mm lug width – Small model (some references may measure very slightly larger, e.g., 17.5 mm)
20 mm lug width – Large model
22.5 mm lug width – Extra-Large model

2. Check the model number:
The model reference number is engraved on the case back. Your warranty card, certificate, or purchase receipt will also list the model reference, which indicates whether your watch is a Tank Must or a Tank Solo, and the size.

Tank Must:
Small: WSTA0041
Large: WSTA0042, WSTA0052
Extra-Large: WSTA0043

Tank Solo:
Small: W5200003
Large: W5200013, W5200028

The lug width of your watch determines the strap size to ensure a proper fit.

To measure the buckle width, use the same method as measuring the lug width. Simply measure the distance between the two ends of the buckle where it attaches to the strap. This ensures the buckle width matches the strap for a secure and proper fit. Use a ruler or caliper for precise measurement, typically in millimeters.

If you receive your strap and find that the size is incorrect, don't worry! You can exchange them for the correct size as long as they are in brand new unworn condition. (Shipping fees applies)

If the item is available to order (not marked as out of stock), it indicates that we have inventory on hand in our warehouse and can dispatch your order promptly upon receipt.
