Strap Measurement Guide

There are two ways to find out the lug width of your watch.

  1. Firstly, you can Google "<watch brand and model> lug width" and see if there is an answer from the brand's website, or some other websites.
  2. Alternatively, you can simply take a ruler and measure the lug width directly on your watch.

Lug widths are typically in whole numbers, and while the most common lug widths are between 18-22mm, they can go down to 8mm or up to 32mm even. Our ready stock straps are available in 12mm,14mm,16mm, 18mm, 19mm, 20mm, 21mm, 22mm, 24mm and 26mm. If you need other lug widths, you can have it custom made.

You will then need to purchase a strap with the same lug width. For example, if your watch has a lug width of 20mm, you will need a 20mm strap to fit your watch.

What is the size of of my Santos De Cartier watch?

There are 2 ways to find the case size of your Cartier Santos de Cartier watch:

1. Use a digital caliper or ruler to measure across the case (excluding the crown):
~35.1 mm wide - Medium model
~39.8 mm wide - Large model

2. Check the model number
The model number is engraved on the case back. Your warranty card or certificate will also list the model reference and the size of your watch.

How do I change my watch strap?

As the Cartier Santos de Cartier uses a press-and-release clip-on mechanism, no tools are required when swapping straps. After changing the strap, please give the strap a light tug in different directions to ensure it is securely attached to the watch case.
What if I realised I got the wrong size after ordering?

If you receive your strap and find that the size is incorrect, don't worry! You can exchange them for the correct size as long as they are in brand new unworn condition. (Shipping fees applies)

A Sleek Upgrade for the Cartier Santos (WSSA0037)

I own the Cartier Santos WSSA0037.

While I admire the watch’s presence, the original rubber strap always felt a touch too “bling” for me. I wanted something that leaned more masculine, understated, and timeless without losing the elegance that makes the Santos what it is.

This black FKM rubber strap delivered exactly that.
